An Opus Clip alternative for class studios

An Opus Clip alternative for studios with short clips, not long videos.

OpusClip takes a long video and cuts it into short clips. A class studio does not have a long video; it has ten-second clips of Tuesday's class. StudentFlow takes three to five of those and returns finished Instagram and Facebook posts and ads within the hour. You approve each with a tap. It has brought new students through the door.

What OpusClip is, and what it needs from you

OpusClip's own pricing page, read on 15 September 2026, describes a tool that takes long-form videos as input and produces short clips for social platforms. Its plans that day were Free at $0, Starter at $15 a month, Pro at $29 a month, and a Business plan on request. Check their site; prices move.

That input is the whole point. OpusClip is built for a podcaster, a streamer or a speaker with an hour of recorded talk, and it is good at finding the twenty seconds in that hour that will travel. It reads the speech, picks the highlights, adds captions and reframes the shot to vertical. If you have an hour of talking, it does a real job.

A dance, fitness or yoga studio does not have an hour of talking. It has a phone that someone pointed at the room for ten seconds, three times, on Tuesday. There is no long video to clip, and there is very little speech to read. Feed OpusClip a ten-second clip and you get roughly the same ten seconds back with captions. That is not what a studio needs.

What a studio actually needs from its footage

A studio's posts are made from short pieces, and the job is the opposite of clipping. It is choosing which three moments out of fifteen say something a nervous beginner needs to hear, putting them together to the music, framing them for Reels and for the feed, putting the studio's own words and colours on the video, and writing a caption that says the class, the night and the place.

None of that is captioning speech. Most class footage has music, not speech, and the words that go on screen are the owner's words about the class, not a transcript. A clipper has nothing to read and nothing to choose between, so it cannot help.

The other half of the job is what happens after the post. A post from a studio is meant to bring a stranger into a room. That means it may need to run as an ad to people near the studio, and it should be possible to see whether it did anything. A clipping tool ends at the export.

What StudentFlow does with three to five short clips

You upload three to five clips of a class from your camera roll, of any quality. StudentFlow finds the moments that carry the class, cuts them to the music, frames them for Reels and for the feed, burns your words and your brand onto the video, and writes the caption and hashtags. Within the hour you have a week's worth of finished posts. You approve each with a tap. Every word is editable before it is burned, and nothing is published without your approval.

When you want to grow faster, the same post runs as a Meta ad from your own ad account and card, and each new student who came through it traces back to the post. It has brought new students through the door.

It is free to try with no credit card; if you like it, we'll get in touch about paying, which is A$29/month per studio, month to month. If you also record hour-long talks, keep OpusClip for those; the two tools do different jobs.

Questions owners ask

Will StudentFlow work with the short clips I already have?

Yes. Three to five clips of ten seconds or more, of any quality, is enough for your first posts. That is the footage it was built for.

Do I need to record a long video of a class?

No. Short clips from a phone are better, because they are what people actually film in a class. Nobody needs to hold a camera for an hour.

Does it caption what people say?

Class footage is mostly music, so the words on screen are yours, about the class, edited on fixed controls before they are burned onto the video. It is not a transcript.

Can I use both tools?

Yes. If you record talks or podcasts, OpusClip does that job. StudentFlow makes posts and ads from class footage. They do not overlap much.

Where do the OpusClip prices come from?
